Who we are
On a beautiful morning in June 2019, Pierre arrived at the 18th hole 1 point off his course record.
His ball hits the green, a 2.5m putt, slightly right left, separates him from his goal of the season.
If it's a perfectly good putt, the situation is bad, the green is stained with ball marks that have not been raised or have not been raised properly and have dented the surface on its line. Il aligne sa balle, se met en position et la putt impeccablement.
The ball jumps once, then a second time before missing the hole by an inch.
Disgusted, he asks himself the question that every amateur golfer has asked himself at least once in his life.
Why are the greens in such poor condition?
This question was on Pierre's mind and he called on Michel, a loyal customer of the shop, to help him design the product.
Unwinding the ball of the origin of ball marks, the culprit is clear and without appeal: the classic pitchmark repairers.
Too often unavailable when needed, it sometimes gives way to a tee, when not to total indifference.
He has also met golfers for whom bending over to pick up a ball marks is a real pain, whether because of age, injury or a handicap!
A badly repaired ball marks is not only a bump on a line, it is also stagnant water that signals the start of greens diseases, which can go as far as destroying it entirely. This can lead to many missed putts for distraught or resigned amateur golfers.
Determined to solve the problem, the two enthusiasts filed a patent for their idea and developed it further for over a year.
They embarked on drawings, 3D models and the search for the best materials.
By measuring hundreds of impacts, they determine the ideal length of the teeth, their shape, but also the shape that fits as many putters as possible.
Many weeks and months are spent in prototyping until the first final models are delivered, with their fine stainless steel blades.
PitchUp at the end of the grip, Pierre is on his way to the golf course, touches the green, when an unrepaired ball marks stands on his line.
He unclips his PitchUp, turns his putter over and experiences the satisfaction that all users experience, a beautifully repaired ball marks, which he gently flattens with his putter.
He lines up his ball, gets into position and putsts impeccably.
The ball doesn't even quiver on its line and makes the sound that every golfer dreams of at night, the clean impact of a ball hitting the hole.
Pitchup has been available to the public since September 2021.
The users, whether they are Sunday golfers or regulars, teachers or golf directors, they all love it.

They talk about it
We entrusted PitchUp to 50 golfers from 18 to 75 years old and here is their feedback:
One thing is certain, they all loved it!
"We are almost frustrated when there are no ball marks to fix on the green, we just want to fix them with PitchUp". - Julien, 40 years old
Many golfers have even developed a habit that now makes a huge difference:
"Now while I'm waiting for my turn to putt I fix a few ball marks, it only takes a few seconds and it's super satisfying. - François, 50 years old
Even the teachers love it!
"When I have groups of beginners and I try to show them how to fix a ball marks properly it is often laborious. I have a PitchUp and I also show them, for some it's a revelation, they go to the Proshop after the course!" - Marjolaine, Teacher, 33 years old.
Greenkeepers see the difference:
"Ah well, at least it's repaired... finally!" - Marc, Greenkeeper.
